To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, how much has been paid in compensation payments to prisoners convicted of terrorism offences in the past two years, broken down by each payment and the reason for it.

While we are aware that compensation payments have been made in the past two years to more than one prisoner convicted of terrorism offences, information of this nature is not collected as a discrete dataset. Details of compensation payments and offence details of individual prisoners are held on separate systems. The information requested could therefore only be obtained at disproportionate cost.
