Airspace

Asked by Shivani RajaConservativeDepartment for TransportTabled Answered 29 June 2026UIN 11819

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, how many staff are assigned to delivery of the Lower Airspace Concept programme.

Answered by Keir Mather

The delivery of changes to lower terminal airspace, as part of the Airspace Modernisation Programme, is undertaken by the airports for three of the four Clusters; Scotland, Western and Manchester. The fourth cluster, London, will be undertaken by the UK Airspace Design Service, which is operated by NATS (En Route) plc.

As all of these are private companies with varying staff levels delivering the changes, this is not information that that Department holds.
