The question

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, with reference to the statement by the Deputy Prime Minister on the G7 Summit on 22 June 2026, how many and what proportion of the 67,000 people that have been removed were voluntary departures.

Answered by Alex Norris

The Home Office publishes data on returns in the ‘Immigration System Statistics quarterly release’. Data on the number of returns by return type since July 2024 can be found in table Ret_D01 of the ‘Returns detailed datasets’.

The data show since July 2024 there have been 67,200 enforced and voluntary returns, of which, 50,700 were voluntary returns, representing 75% of total returns.
