Israel: Palestine
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether she has made representations to her Israeli counterpart on British civilian assets (a) destroyed and (b) damaged during occupation.
Answered by Mr Hamish Falconer
Foreign, Commonwealth and Development officials have made representations to the Israeli authorities concerning the demolition of UK funded property.
More generally, we know that the demolition of property is causing unnecessary suffering to communities throughout Palestine, and we also condemn the seizure of land by extremist settler groups and their acts of brutal violence, as set out by the Foreign Secretary in her statement to the House on 9 June.
