To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, what assessment she has made of the potential merits of incorporating the Right to Food into domestic law.

The Government is committed to delivering on the intent of the Right To Food but does not have plans to legislate for it at this stage. While the right to food is not codified in UK domestic law, the UK continues to recognise economic, social and cultural rights as defined in the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, and we remain committed to fulfilling our obligations under the Covenant.
