Liverpool Street Station: Construction
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment she has made of the value for money of continued expenditure on the Liverpool Street Station redevelopment scheme in advance of a fully funded delivery plan.
Answered by Keir Mather
The scheme has been assessed in accordance with the HM Treasury Green Book and received resolution to grant from the City of London's planning committee in February. Network Rail is now working with key stakeholders on the Section 106 Agreements. These require minimal expenditure, but the process is a necessary step to gain consent. Once consent is given, further engagement with the private sector can commence. Network Rail has confidence in market appetite from both an investor and anchor occupier perspective.
