To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if she will make a comparative assessment of the cost per platform of (a) White Rose Station and (b) railway stations opened elsewhere in England since 2020.

The Department has no plans to undertake a comparative assessment of the cost per platform for White Rose Station and other railway stations in England opened since 2020. Each new station scheme will face its own specific delivery challenges that impact on the cost of each platform - including ground conditions, land availability and accessibility requirements.
White Rose Station forms part of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS) programme, which provides long-term, integrated funding for local transport priorities. Decisions on investment, including the scheme’s projected cost, are made by WYCA through its Local Assurance Framework, in line with national guidance.
