Liverpool Street Station: Construction

Asked by Joe RobertsonConservativeDepartment for TransportTabled Answered 1 July 2026UIN 12358

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what delivery model is proposed for the Liverpool Street Station redevelopment scheme; what private sector investment has been secured; and what estimate he has made of the level of further private sector investment required to deliver that scheme.

Answered by Simon Lightwood

The scheme received resolution to grant from the City of London's planning committee in February. Following this Network Rail is working with key stakeholders on the Section 106, which will secure the consent. Once consent is given, then further engagement with the private sector can commence. Network Rail has confidence in market appetite from both an investor and anchor occupier perspective.
