To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what assessment he has made of the potential impact of long term funding arrangements for the Veterans Mobility Fund and Veterans Hearing Loss Fund on veterans.

The Veterans’ Mobility Fund provides vital support to veterans seeking to enhance their mobility, independence, and overall quality of life. The fund is designed to support veterans with physical disabilities resulting from illness or injury sustained during service by providing life-changing grants or equipment not usually available on the NHS.
The Veterans’ Mobility Fund is funded by the government and administered by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust. It is delivered by Help for Heroes with the support and partnership of Blesma and officials meet regularly to discuss progress.
The Veterans’ Hearing Fund which was established in 2015, closed in 2021. The Ministry of Defence (MOD) runs two main active compensation schemes, the Armed Forces Compensation Scheme for illness or injury due to Service after 6 April 2005, and the War Pension Scheme for illness or injury due to Service before 6 April 2005.
