Puberty Suppressing Hormones: Clinical Trials

Asked by Mr Andrew SnowdenConservativeDepartment of Health and Social CareTabled Answered 9 July 2026UIN 12468

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether his Department received representations from external organisations regarding the MHRA's review of the PATHWAYS clinical trial protocol.

Answered by Karin Smyth

The Department regularly receives correspondence from external organisations relating to the PATHWAYS clinical trial, some of which addresses the clinical trial protocol. However, the review of the PATHWAYS clinical trial protocol was conducted independently by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency and the Health Research Authority, a process which was independent of the Department.
