Prisoners: Transgender People

To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what discussions he has had with the Scottish Government on the removal of transgender prisoners from women's prisons.

Prisons are devolved in Scotland and the laws governing them are different to those governing prisons in England and Wales. Issues around the allocation of transgender prisoners in Scottish prisons are, therefore, solely a matter for the Scottish Government.
