Asked by Mr Andrew SnowdenConservativeTreasuryTabled Answered 30 June 2026UIN 12590

The question

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, when she expects the proposed First Time Buyer ISA to become available.

Answered by Rachel Blake

As announced in Tax Update 2026, on 23 June 2026 the Government began the consultation phase for the design and implementation of a new First Time Buyer ISA.

As the Government is in the early stages of consultation on the design and implementation of the product, no date for its introduction has been set.

The Government will consider responses to the consultation before setting out next steps.
