To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to ensure emergency care infrastructure meets demand in constituencies with (a) above-average unemployment and (b) above-average infant mortality rates.

Neither the Department nor NHS England holds information centrally on emergency care infrastructure in constituencies with above-average unemployment or infant mortality rates. Decisions on emergency care infrastructure investment are made locally by National Health Service providers and systems, taking account of local population needs, service demand, estate condition, and clinical priorities.
