Visas: Republic of Ireland
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what assessment she has made of the implications for her policies of the comments of the Republic of Ireland's Barry Andrews MEP, on Irish visas being exploited by hostile actors from Russia.
Answered by Dame Angela Eagle
Ireland’s immigration policies are a matter for the Irish Government.
The UK and Ireland have a close and collaborative working relationship on a range of issues, including migration and border security and where specific trends are identified, we work closely with our Irish colleagues in taking action to address these.
