To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 15 June 2026 to Question 7171 on Roads: Development Consent Orders, what the provisional expenditure figures are for (a) the A12 Chelmsford to A120 widening scheme and (b) the A47 Wansford to Sutton dualling scheme.

Answered by Simon Lightwood

A provisional figure for the costs incurred up to March 2025 on the cancelled A12 Chelmsford to A120 widening and A47 Wansford to Sutton dualling schemes was published in National Highways’ Annual Report and Accounts for 2024-25 in July 2025. Final costs for the A12 and A47 will be published in National Highways’ 2026 Accounts later this year.
