To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how her Department plans to measure the potential impact of the Farming Roadmap on domestic food security.

The Defra Farming Roadmap sets out the Government’s long-term plan for agriculture, providing a clear direction to 2050 for a profitable, productive, sustainable and resilient sector. The effect of the Farming Roadmap on domestic food security should be able to be monitored using already existing surveys and reports including:
- The UK Food Security Report, an Official Statistics release published every 3 years;
- The UK Agriculture Market Monitoring Group (UKAMMG), a joint government and industry committee that reviews and analyses market information, prices, production, and trade; and
- The Farm Business Survey which provides information on the financial, physical and environmental performance of farm businesses in England.
