Transport: Planning Permission

Asked by Mr Richard HoldenConservativeDepartment for TransportTabled Answered 6 July 2026UIN 13566

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if she will publish a list of legislative and statutory requirements, including those relating to environmental protection, health and safety, planning, habitats, heritage, water, flood risk and other regulatory obligations, that apply to the planning and construction of (a) roads, (b) railways, (c) airports and (d) ports.

Answered by Keir Mather

The Government does not maintain, and does not plan to publish, a single consolidated list of all applicable legislative and statutory requirements. Doing so would be disproportionate and would duplicate information already available through legislation.gov.uk.
