Community Infrastructure Levy

Asked by Mr Andrew SnowdenConservativeMinistry of Housing, Communities and Local GovernmentTabled Answered 20 July 2026UIN 13617

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, how many households have been denied a Community Infrastructure Levy exemption as a result of procedural errors since the exemption was introduced in 2014.

Answered by Matthew Pennycook

The government does not collect the information sought from individual CIL charging authorities.

I refer the hon. Member to the related correspondence of 25 June 2026 to leaders and Chief Executives of all CIL charging authorities in England, which can be found on gov.uk here.
