Ammunition: Expenditure
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to page 6 of the Strategic Defence Review, published 2 June 2025, how much of the £6bn investment in munitions this Parliament has been spent as of 29 June 2026.
Answered by Luke Pollard
Since the commencement of this Parliament, the MOD’s spend on munitions, including procurement of complex weapons and General Munitions, has been £2.319 billion. Further future investments in munitions within this Parliament have been made within the Defence Investment Plan in addition to those commitments set out in the Strategic Defence Review.
