Asked by Sir Ashley FoxConservativeDepartment for TransportTabled Answered 2 July 2026UIN 14052

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 22 June 2026 to Question 8651 on Large Goods Vehicles: Electric Vehicles, whether her Department has undertaken modelling of the impact of charging times on the operational efficiency of zero-emission heavy goods vehicles.

Answered by Keir Mather

The Department will continue to engage with the sector on issues relating to efficiency and productivity, including the implications of charging. We will draw on the detailed data that will be generated and shared as part of the Zero Emission HGV and Infrastructure Demonstrator (ZEHID) programme.

We will set out our Zero Emission HGV and Coach Infrastructure Strategy in due course.
