To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what discussions his Department has had with rail operators on service reliability affecting West Dorset.

Answered by Keir Mather

The Department works closely with train operators and Network Rail to improve reliability and performance on services across the network, including those serving West Dorset.

Improvement activity includes targeted work to address infrastructure reliability, timetable resilience, and staffing availability. Operators are also working with Network Rail to reduce disruption from infrastructure failures and external factors such as trespass and weather-related incidents.
