The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, whether his Department plans to review Council Tax Reduction schemes, minimum payment policies and the overall affordability of council tax for low income households.

The Government remains committed to keeping all taxes and elements of local government finance system under review and will continue to monitor the effectiveness of the system, considering options for reform where there is clear evidence that change would deliver better outcomes for residents and councils alike.
