Deportation

Asked by Mr Andrew SnowdenConservativeHome OfficeTabled Answered 7 July 2026UIN 14510

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, how the figure of nearly 70,000 removals of individuals with no right to remain has been verified and broken down by category of removal.

Answered by Alex Norris

The Home Office publishes data on returns in the ‘Immigration System Statistics quarterly release’. Data on the number of returns by return type since July 2024 can be found in table Ret_D01 of the ‘Returns detailed datasets’.

The data show since July 2024 there have been 67,200 enforced and voluntary returns, of which 16,500 were enforced returns and 50,700 were voluntary returns.
