The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what funding she has allocated to maintain and modernise rail infrastructure.

The recent Spending Review confirmed £10.2billion for rail infrastructure enhancements over the next four years. Network Rail’s funding for the operation, maintenance and renewal of the network from 2024 to 2029 was set at £44.1 billion, excluding enhancements. This government remains committed to this settlement.
