The question
To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, with reference to the Written Ministerial Statement entitled Defence funding update, published on 30 June, HCWS165, how much of the £298 billion to be spent on defence over the next four years will be spent in financial year (a) 2025-26, (b) 2026-27, (c) 2027-28 and (d) 2028-29.

The Defence Investment Plan is backed by £298bn of investment over the next four years, from 2026-27 to 2029-30.
The total Ministry of Defence budget is £68.3bn in 2026-27; £73.8bn in 2027-28; £76.5bn in 2028-29; and £79.1bn in 2029-30.
