Airports: Fees and Charges
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 1 July 2026 to Question 12281, whether she has asked the Civil Aviation Authority to review the impact of airport vehicle drop-off charges since its 2016 review of market conditions for airport surface access.
Answered by Keir Mather
The Government does not regulate airport parking or drop-off charges, which are commercial decisions for airport operators to make and justify to their customers. The Civil Aviation Authority’s 2016 review of market conditions for airport surface access found there was insufficient evidence to warrant a review. Any decision on whether to undertake a further assessment of surface access arrangements is a matter for the independent Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
