Health Services
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what the department’s timeline is for deciding on the second wave of Modern Service Frameworks.
Answered by Preet Kaur Gill
Modern service frameworks are a vital tool for improving patient care. They sit at the heart of the 10-Year Health Plan and are being designed to deliver a step change in both service quality and productivity. Modern service frameworks are currently in development for cardiovascular disease, sepsis, severe mental illness, palliative care and end of life care, frailty and dementia, and children and young people. After this initial wave of modern service frameworks is complete, the National Quality Board will determine the conditions to prioritise for new modern service frameworks as part of its work programme.
