The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, how many bridge, tunnel and other transport structure repair projects have been assessed as ineligible for funding from the Structures Fund because they could not be completed by 31 March 2030.

Local highway authorities have until 3 August to put forward proposed schemes for investment. The Department will then assess these proposals and announce funding in the Autumn. Local highway authorities will need to complete delivery of schemes by the end of March 2030 and their plans for this will be reviewed as part of the assessment process.
