Hammersmith Bridge: Closures
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what recent assessment her Department has made of the potential impact of the closure of Hammersmith Bridge to motor vehicles on (a) journey times, (b) congestion, (c) bus reliability and (d) local economic activity.
Answered by Simon Lightwood
As the asset owner and project lead, it would be for the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham to carry out any impact assessments related to the Hammersmith Bridge restoration project. It is for Transport for London, as London's Strategic Transport Authority, to make any assessment of the impacts of the ongoing closure of Hammersmith Bridge to motor vehicles upon the wider London transport network, such as journey times, congestion, and bus reliability.
