The Department publishes statistics on the timeliness of cases in civil and family courts in the Civil Court Statistics Quarterly and Family Court Statistics Quarterly publications. We have made positive progress in reducing case lengths in the family and civil courts; however, we recognise that average case lengths remain higher than we would like.
