Motor Insurance: Young People

Asked by Helen MorganLiberal DemocratDepartment for TransportTabled Answered 10 July 2026UIN 16106

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether she has considered including information on insurance ghost broking and identifying legitimate motor insurance providers within Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency communications and educational materials aimed at new and young drivers.

Answered by Simon Lightwood

Information about insurance is included in the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency’s (DVSA) learning and educational resources.

DVSA’s commercial partner site at https://www.safedrivingforlife.info/blog features advice and blog posts aimed at all drivers on various subjects, including information on insurance with contributions from responsible external organisations. DVSA promotes this information on its social media or its partner channels.
