The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, with reference to the Defence Investment Plan, how many F-35A and F-35B jets does his department intend to buy in the next order.

The Department is working on finalising the precise mix of A and B variants for our next F35 order. The Defence Investment Plan sets out a strong combat air approach with F35s, Typhoon and Collaborative Combat Aircraft.
