The Government recognises the importance of good quality, reliable connections for passengers in rural communities who rely on interchange between different modes of transport.
Under bus franchising and Enhanced Partnership arrangements, local transport authorities can develop integrated fares and ticketing schemes that reflect local travel needs.
Through Better Connected - the Government's integrated transport strategy - we are developing technology options to give local areas across the country options for implementing integrated ticketing options that suit local needs.
