Ministry of Defence: Consultants

Asked by Jim AllisterTraditional Unionist VoiceMinistry of DefenceTabled Answered 13 July 2026UIN 16347

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to the Answer of 6 July 2026 to Question14187, have payments been made to any other politicians in respect of consultancy work.

Answered by Mr Calvin Bailey

With the exception of salary paid to the Secretary of State for Defence, and Defence Ministers, it is not possible to identify whether any other direct payments have been made to current or former Members of Parliament or other politicians as a cohort. Whether the recipient of any type of payment for any reason is a Member of Parliament or other politician, is not centrally recorded and could only be provide at disproportionate cost.
