The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what the average waiting time was for complaints submitted to the Independent Case Examiner on Universal Credit in the latest period for which data is available.

As of 30 June 2026, Universal Credit cases being investigated by the Independent Case Examiner’s (ICE) office had waited an average of 28 weeks from receipt to the start of the investigation.
