The question

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, what safeguards are in place to ensure that Freedom of Information requests made to police bodies are considered on the basis of the information requested rather than the identity of the applicant.

Police forces and other police bodies are separate public authorities for the purposes of the Freedom of Information Act and are independently responsible for complying with their obligations under the Act.
