Ministry of Justice: Public Appointments
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, other than special advisers if his Department has appointed anyone from outside the civil service since July 2024.
Answered by Jake Richards
Since 1 July 2024, Ministers in the Ministry of Justice have made around 800 public appointments and 35 direct ministerial appointments. Recruitment processes for public appointment roles complied with the Government’s Governance Code on Public Appointments.
Appointments, save for certain roles which are not announced for security reasons, are announced on Gov.UK for public appointments or on a dedicated Cabinet Office portal for direct ministerial appointments.
