Asked by Jerome MayhewConservativeDepartment for TransportTabled Answered 15 July 2026UIN 16518

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, pursuant to the Answer of 1 July 2026 to Question 12032, whether the public interest assessment was made on a case-by-case basis or as a general policy in respect of all flights funded for non-UK nationals.

Answered by Keir Mather

The Department does not routinely comment on national security matters. A case-by-case assessment was made of each flight to ascertain that it was for national security-related activity.
