The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how many applications to the Farming Recovery Fund were (a) received, (b) approved and (c) paid; and what the total value is of payments made under the scheme.

Eligible applicants were proactively identified and contacted to confirm both their eligibility and their intention to restore the land. A total of 12,965 customers were offered payments, of which 12,398 accepted and received payments totalling £58.9m.
