Cooneen Defence
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, what items of a) uniform and b) equipment were manufactured by Cooneen Defence between 2018 and 2023.
Answered by Luke Pollard
The Department does not hold information on all of the items of clothing or equipment manufactured by Cooneen Defence Limited.
During the specified period Cooneen Defence Limited held 19 clothing contracts with the MOD through the Logistics, Commodities and Services (Transformation) (LCST) contract and supplied more than 240 lines of clothing, for a total of more than 8,500 line items when different sizes are included.
Uniforms are not purchased and supplied as single items but are instead an assembly of items that includes but is not limited to tunic, trousers/breeches, headgear, footwear and gloves.
Cooneen Defence Limited also held one contract to supply ballistic plates for trial purposes during this period.
