A10: Ely and East Cambridgeshire

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether funding for the A10 improvements in Ely & East Cambridgeshire remains secure following the Government's Defence Investment Plan; and whether she has made an assessment of the potential impact of planned Department for Transport savings on the delivery timetable of A10 upgrades.

The Department for Transport is proud to be supporting the Defence Investment Plan (DIP) which puts the security of the British public first, transforming our Armed Forces and giving them the funding and equipment they need to fight and defend our nation.
The A10 Ely to Cambridge improvement scheme is part of the Major Road Network and Large Local Majors (MRN/LLM) Programme. The scheme has not yet reached Outline Business Case approval stage, so funding has not yet been committed. The A10 Ely to Cambridge is one of the remaining schemes under review, following an announcement on the programme on 26th March. A decision on the remaining schemes, including this one, is expected to be made in due course.
