RAF Barnham

Asked by Rupert LoweRestore BritainHome OfficeTabled Answered 15 July 2026UIN 17133

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether asylum seekers based at MoD Barnham will be required to report their movements, either routinely or on request.

Answered by Alex Norris

The Government is considering the use of MoD Barnham for asylum accommodation. No final decision has been made.

Everyone entering or leaving site would be required to sign in and out at the front gate. This process would be managed by the service provider’s security team and overseen by the Home Office Oversight & Assurance team, who would also be based on site.
