Asked by Mike WoodConservativeCabinet OfficeTabled Answered 14 July 2026UIN 17344

The question

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, pursuant to the answer of 30 June 2026, to Question 13313, on Public Sector: Procurement, who are the stakeholders who have been consulted on the new social value in central government procurement guidance; whether this includes (a) SME businesses and (b) trade unions.

Answered by Chris Ward

The Cabinet Office has consulted a range of stakeholders in the development of options for the announced social value measures, including representatives of suppliers and contracting authorities. I can confirm that this included a range of SME businesses and trade unions, as well as VCSEs and other relevant stakeholders.
