The question

To ask the Minister for the Cabinet Office, with reference to the news story entitled New Civil Service Commissioners Appointed, of 30 June 2026, whether any of the four new appointees made a declaration of political activity.

Whilst the recruitment of Civil Service Commissioners is not regulated by the Commissioner for Public Appointments, this process has been delivered in accordance with the Governance Code on Public Appointments, including the provisions concerning the publication of previous political activity.
