British Business Bank
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Business and Trade, what is the average amount of funding that the British Business Bank has provided in financial years (a) 2024-25, (b) 2025-26 and (c) 2026-27.
Answered by Blair McDougall
The British Business Bank publishes annual information on the finance it supports for smaller businesses through a combination of public funding, lending guarantees and private sector investment. In 2024-25, the Bank supported £6.8 billion of finance, comprising £1.2 billion of public funding, £2.6 billion of lending guaranteed and £3.0 billion of private capital crowded in.
Figures for 2025-26 and 2026-27 are not yet publicly available and will be published in the British Business Bank's Annual Report and Accounts in due course.
