Ukraine: Aid Workers

Asked by Helen MaguireLiberal DemocratForeign, Commonwealth and Development OfficeTabled Answered 13 July 2026UIN 17639

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what diplomatic steps she is taking to hold the Russian Government accountable for missile strikes targeting humanitarian workers.

Answered by Stephen Doughty

The UK condemns Russia's attacks affecting humanitarian personnel, infrastructure and supplies in Ukraine. We continue to hold Russia to account through the UN Security Council, and the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe, as well as through our sanctions regime, and support for investigations and accountability mechanisms. We also work with international partners to strengthen compliance with international humanitarian law and practical protection for aid workers.
