Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office: Members

Asked by Mims DaviesConservativeForeign, Commonwealth and Development OfficeTabled Answered 27 July 2026UIN 17776

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, how many MP surgeries have Ministers in her Department had with MPs (a) in the period July 2024 to January 2025 and (b) since January 2025.

Answered by Stephen Doughty

Ministers at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) engage regularly with MPs to discuss a range of issues, whether in Parliamentary debates, committee hearings, or meetings with specialist groups. Ministers have had regular engagement with parliamentarians at surgeries, with APPGs and with MPs on consular casework. FCDO ministers have responded to a quarter of all urgent question debates since the last election, regularly engaging with colleagues on a range of topical matters.
