Mohammed Al-Wahidi

Asked by Andrew GeorgeLiberal DemocratForeign, Commonwealth and Development OfficeTabled Answered 20 July 2026UIN 17704

The question

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what representations she has made to the Government of Israel regarding the killing of Palestinian aid official Mohammed al-Wahidi on 7 July 2026.

Answered by Mr Hamish Falconer

The targeting of aid workers in any circumstances is totally unacceptable. Gaza remains the deadliest place in the world for humanitarian operations, with over 500 aid workers killed since the start of the conflict. We have been clear that the Government of Israel must comply with its obligations to facilitate humanitarian assistance and ensure that aid workers are able to operate safely.
