To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many NHS dental contracts within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough ICB have been handed back in each of the last three years by number of contracts and Units of Dental Activity.

In the last three years, two National Health Service dental contracts within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Integrated Care Board (ICB) have been handed back by the same provider. These contracts represented 4,123 and 12,000 Units of Dental Activity (UDAs) respectively.
When NHS dental activity becomes available, the ICB seeks to reallocate it to existing NHS dental providers with the capacity to deliver additional services, helping to maintain patient access.
During 2025/26, the ICB made additional urgent NHS dental activity available to providers to increase urgent NHS dental capacity. In 2026/27, the ICB intends to offer recurrent uncommitted UDAs, including those associated with the returned contracts, to providers that hold an NHS Dental Contract in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough to deliver this additional activity.
