Public Lavatories: Stoma Appliances
The question
To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, if he will consider establishing an assessment scheme for the adequacy of toilet provision in public areas at catering to the needs of stoma users.
Answered by Samantha Dixon
I refer the hon. Member to the answer given to Question UIN 5730 on 4 June 2026. The Government has no plans to establish a scheme to assess the adequacy of toilet provision for users. The Building Safety Act 2022 requires the Building Safety Regulator to keep the safety and standard of buildings under review; Building Regulations and statutory guidance can then be updated as needed.
